What It Is
Last of the eight cities which were established over Delhi, is the vast Shahjahanabad (‘abode of Shahjahan’, builder of Taj Mahal) also known as Old Delhi, Walled city or the fortified city. About four centuries old and built around the Red Fort, the city has seen the decline of the Mughal rule, numerous invasions and has finally become a warped hub of markets and culture.
Why go to Old Delhi

It is pockmarked with havelis(old style bungalows)and extensive markets that cater to national and international trade.
